Welcome, this is my first post!

This is Katia and I thought I'd create myself a little photography blog because I'm much too lazy to attempt to join the whole community at Flickr until I have a nice portfolio. I already have quite a few shots but I will upload them only a one, two or a few at a time so that I have time tom improve.

I use my Canon Digital Rebel 450D [XSi], and occasionally my point and shoot [Canon Powershot A640]. The latter has a swivel screen making self portraits easier but unfortunately the quality is not the best.

I prefer doing self-portraiture but a good many of my photographs are landscape, nature, and random shots of things lying around the place.

I suppose another good reason for this blog is that I need an excuse to stay away from my school and other work.

This is a little photo of me looking a tad bit psychotic, taken just several minutes after waking up. I suppose I just had to take advantage of having messy hair. As I was photoshopping it, the colors were much brighter and not black, you could actually see the detail on the turtleneck but I suppose the dreaded .jpeg format always ruins that.
