I hate cheking my e-mail.

Does anyone else out there find that checking e-mail is very tedious? I usually get about thirty to fifty spam messages a day and maybe a couple worthwhile e-mail that I still don't feel like replying to.

I woke up with a massive headache today, probably because my bed is right by the window and at around eleven in the morning, the sun shines directly on my bed. I sleep under several blankets and wearing a hoodie sweater sometimes so I think I got overheated. I do feel better now though, after taking some ibuprofen.

Took a couple of photos this morning, nothing special, just some simple shots.
The first one is my guitar which lies next to my bed, unused. I finally figured out the right settings on my camera to make the images look sharp and not blurry when I upload them onto facebook, it feels like quite the accomplishment!

And here's me this morning, with bedhead hair. I still managed to smile though, because it's so warm and beautiful outside. It is such a nice change from last week. Two days ago it was -6 degrees Celsius. Compared to Russia, my homeland, it's nothing of course, but after having lived in North Carolina for a while, I must have softened up. Something about waiting for the city bus to come ten minutes late twice a day before and after school. Oooh, cold.

Hey there again [^-^]

Wow, I have followers!? I never expected that...but thanks guys and sorry I haven't logged on in a month...

I just started at a new school and I have so much work that I almost forgot about photography. But that can't last long and I had to pick up my camera and do something so I did. So here we go-!

This one is rather old but I still like it. It reminds me of either National Geographic or the girl from the Village. I never saw the movie but my friends told me that & I looked up a picture.

My hair is brushed for the first time in a month or two in this next one. It looks unnatural, but it reminds me of Lindsay Lohan here for some reason.

This one was taken today out of sheer boredom. I found my old hair curler & decided to curl my already curly hair. It did make it quite smooth though so I put on a dress and took a few. This is the only one I liked out of the batch. The thing I like most about it is probably that it is entirely un-photoshopped.

Have a good day, everyone!

Wow--

I haven't logged on in twelve days. Unfortunately I can't exactly complete the little project I was hoping to do because my camera ran out of batteries for a day once and I didn't charge it until the next day. And then I have a couple of other missing slots. But I will still upload photos anyway!

I took this one a while back but I still like it although straight hair doesn't quite suit me well.

This next one wasn't meant to be a good shot, I just liked the reflection in a ball hanging from the ceiling at Wendy's...so I took a picture. I ended up liking it quite a bit though, especially how the ball is surrounded by the plant.

The only reason I think I'm uploading the next one is because it is entirely un-edited.

Today was a rather dull day, although the weather was beautiful- very windy and quite rainy but nice nevertheless. School wasn't interesting though, not much work. I thought I wouldn't be able to think of anything for today & I almost started freaking out that I would fail the project so soon but then I remembered I've been thinking of taking a photo in that chair for a while. The guitar is a nice touch I think; I didn't even notice it was in the image until I started editing.

I'm on the phone and it's getting late so I don't feel like typing much more.

Rainy Day

It's been raining all day and I'm getting quite sick of this weather. I couldn't sleep very well last night so I've been rather tired all day. I did attempt to keep up a perky outlook on things at school today and I think I managed pretty well except for a few points throughout the day. No one else seemed to bother, however, and by the time I got back home I was in the same melancholy mood as everybody else.

It took me the longest time to decide what photo to take; it seems as if my brain just doesn't wish to work properly today. I meant to do another multiplicity image but then I realized that a lone Katrina would reflect my mood better. So here she is, alone, at night, trying to sleep- with too many thoughts running through her head.

[Please view this on my flickr account here because the quality is a thousand times better].

Oh my!

I'm absolutely exhausted. Today was the first day back to school after the winter break and I forgot how tiring a full day could be. So it happens that I forgot entirely about the enormous workload I meant to do over the holidays but never touched. So today it hit me and now I'm not sure I can get anything done.

Instead of working like I should be, I create my first ever multiplicity image to portray how today is. One Katrina seems to have either fallen asleep or died while the other is lying there terrified that she may never finish the piles of work all around her. This photo is also day five of project 365.

I've been at home all day...

...so I was bound to make a second post at some point.

Going back on what I said earlier today, I decided to go ahead and update my long forgotten Flickr account and I created a new set called 365. I thought I would try out the whole 365 days project and take at least one photo every single day throughout this entire year It seems like the versions on Flickr are of a much better quality, especially the colors so you can view them here . Luckily, I already took photos for the first three days. On New Year's Day I had a single, pointless photo and I don't quite know why I took it, but I'm glad I did. I suppose it shows that I wasn't too much into the festivities over the holidays:

On the second day of the year i decided to have some fun with my new tripod and took several self-portraits in a shower setting. There were two that I liked but chose this one for the project. Out of the first four days, it is my favorite:

On day three I was still unaware that I would be doing this project and was incredibly lucky to find even a single shot of something from that day. It does, however, happen to be a terrible quality cell phone picture. In the bottom left corner, there is even a sign from the format converter I used to make it a .jpeg file:

Today's photo is in my earlier post along with its description.
